The School of Inculturation for Sub-Saharan Africa and Madagascar has just published a book entitled \u201cThe Family\u201d<\/span> (January, 2022). The edition is not only educative but also captivating as it explores the richness of African culture. According to Gisela Lauber<\/span> who is leading the team of editors of the book, the main goal of this publication is to collect and keep the African culture and values and pass it over to the next generation. \u201cWe wanted to pass on the values of African culture to the future generations by answering their questions and providing materials for study,\u201d said Gisela. She went on and said, \u201cWe want anyone reading this book to get the real picture of Africans and their traditions.\u201d It is another achievement for the School of Inculturation in Mariapolis Piero<\/span>, Kenya which has been active for 30 years. Copies of the book are also available in both Italian and French.<\/p>\n

Chiara Lubich<\/span>, founder of the Focolare Movement, said during her visit to Africa, \u201cThere is so much light in your testimonies that we need a permanent beacon here that can transmit this beacon of light to others, something that gives academic dignity<\/span> and puts theses experiences on the lamp stand.\u201d Gisela and her team of editors sought help from other people among them the volunteers to source for the right information they needed to comprehensively gather all the facts they required for the publication. She was however impressed and mesmerized on discovering that African roots are so rich and applies to all communities.<\/p>\n

Gisela too wanted the Teens to keep and follow their roots closely to ensure they keep this rich African culture. She added that this can only be achieved if the Teens worked together with love and unity. \u201c This is most especially for the young people; you need to ask yourselves individually what you can contribute to the world so as to brighten the light present in the world. Imagine the greatness we can achieve when we choose to work together.\u201d<\/p>\n
